The standing and seated pec/dec machine is a piece of Gym Equipment designed to target the muscles in the chest and shoulders. It typically consists of two adjustable padded arms or handles that move in a horizontal arc.

To use the machine while standing:
1. Adjust the seat height and position the handles at chest level.
2. Stand facing the machine and grasp the handles with an overhand grip.
3. Position your feet shoulder-width apart and maintain a slight bend in your knees.
4. Engage your core and keep your back straight throughout the exercise.
5. Exhale and push the handles forward until your arms are fully extended in front of you.
6. Inhale and slowly return the handles to the starting position, maintaining control and tension in your chest muscles.
7. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.

To use the machine while seated:
1. Adjust the seat height and position the handles at chest level.
2. Sit on the machine with your back against the backrest and grasp the handles with an overhand grip.
3. Position your feet flat on the footrests or the floor, depending on the machine design.
4. Engage your core and keep your back pressed firmly against the backrest.
5. Exhale and push the handles forward until your arms are fully extended in front of you.
6. Inhale and slowly return the handles to the starting position, maintaining control and tension in your chest muscles.
7. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
