The pec fly rear delt exercise primarily targets the muscles of the chest (pectoral muscles) and the rear deltoids (posterior deltoids). It is a compound exercise that involves the movement of the arms in a fly motion while seated or standing.

To perform the pec fly rear delt exercise:

1. Start by sitting on a bench or standing with a slight bend in your knees and a dumbbell in each hand.

2. Extend your arms out to the sides, parallel to the floor, with your elbows slightly bent.

3. Keep your chest lifted and engage your core for stability.

4. Slowly bring your arms forward, crossing them in front of your chest, until your hands meet in the middle.

5. Pause for a moment, then reverse the movement and bring your arms back out to the starting position.

6. As you bring your arms back out, focus on squeezing your shoulder blades together to engage the rear deltoids.

7. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.

It is important to start with light weights and gradually increase the weight as you become more comfortable and confident with the exercise. Always maintain proper form and avoid using momentum to lift the weights.
